First he painted the walls a slate grey color. Then he put an espresso colored stain on the cabinets (thank you pinterest for the $10.00 tip). Since the whole process was now totaling $25.00 (and the bathroom is pretty small) he decided to rip out the linoleum and put tile in.
Because he's an overachiever (unlike myself) he was bent on placing the tiles diagonal which made for a few extra cuts.
He was right though, the tile really made a difference.
This is the after picture. I love how it turned out. It feels a lot fancier than the rest of our house. I'm still not sure what to put on the shelves, this is what we had around the house. What a lucky girl I am.

Wow he did a great job. Is he for hire? Happy birthday lucky lady!
It looks incredible! That is awesome that he goes all out for your birthdays!
Looks fantastic!! What a lovely birthday gift!
That really does look great. I thought it looked nice before but now I can see it needed an update. You know what would really take it over the top would be to frame out that mirror :)
Geesh! Crazy talented. I hope you had a great birthday! Sorry the wish is belated, but I've been out of town a lot and you don't have a FB to remind me!
He should start a handyman business; we would hire him if you lived closer. We have a handyman we use for projects that are above Ryan's level and that tile would be one of them. We have a whole neighborhood of wealthy Doctors who would hire him too. Just saying...
Talie,
I'm going to be in Portland for a friend's wedding the weekend of September 9th. Can I see you? Send me a message with your number and I'll call you. Nice bathroom!
Um - your bathroom remodel took a whole lot less time than ours. I have a post scheduled to publish this weekend about or bathroom remodel drama. Yours looks fabulous!
